She currently serves as President/Chairman of the Board of Directors of California Community Opportunities, a non-profit organization committed to renewing the lives of adults with disabilities through authentic teaching in their homes and communities. She has also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two additional non-profit organizations serving the Bay Area special needs community: Angels on Stage, a theater troupe of children with differing abilities, and Special Kids Connect, an organization dedicated to developing resources, raising awareness and providing support for children with disabilities and their families. Prior to opening her own practice, Lorna was tax attorney/tax consultant for several high profile organizations, including the international public accounting firm Arthur Andersen LLP, and my CFO, Inc., a wealth management services firm. Her primary focus was the development, and implementation of tax planning strategies for high net worth individuals, including wealth accumulation, wealth preservation, and wealth transfer planning techniques. She also spent a significant amount of time in the implementation and management of charitable planning strategies, including private foundations, supporting organizations, donor advised funds and charitable remainder/lead trusts.
